ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM SINUSITIS?

ROVA ENT IS HERE TO HELP.

reduce allergens

Sinusitis is a condition that causes inflammation, swelling and pain in the nose. It can be a very disruptive condition, keeping you from doing the things that you love. Finding the path to long-term relief for sinusitis starts by identifying your symptoms and root causes.

Some treatment options may offer temporary relief, but cannot alleviate chronic, long-term discomfort. Roanoke Valley ENT is proud to offer personalized treatment options for both acute and chronic sinusitis, so you can get on the path to feeling better as quickly and efficiently as possible.

EVALUATING YOUR SINUSITIS

Chronic sinusitis can be misdiagnosed as other conditions due to their similar symptoms. Allergies, colds and upper respiratory infections share many of the same signs and problems with breathing that are associated with chronic sinusitis, such as thick mucous membranes in your nose or throat, which cause obstruction over time. This build up may be causing you pain when trying, unsuccessfully, to breathe.

Are you experiencing any of these symptoms long-term?

Sinusitis is a common condition that can cause headaches, trouble breathing through your nose, chronic pain and more.  If you’re suffering from these symptoms, Roanoke Valley ENT is here to help provide you with relief. Other symptoms include:

  • Decreased Sense Of Smell

  • Congestion

  • Facial Pain And Pressure

  • Nasal Drainage

  • Post Nasal Drainage

  • Headaches

  • Migraines

  • Difficulty Sleeping

  • Increased Facial Swelling

  • Blocked Nasal Passages

  • Excessive Drainage

  • Runny Eyes

What Is Chronic Sinusitis?

There are four pairs of air-filled cavities located around your nose and eyes. These air-filled cavities work together to warm or cool inhaled airflow, humidify it and remove dust allergens while also regulating temperature differences near our face so we can breathe easier at night when temperatures change more drastically. When a patient suffers from sinusitis, they experience inflammation or swelling of sinuses that block airflow and drainage.

Acute sinusitis, also known as a sinus infection, typically lasts 2 to 4 weeks. However, sinusitis becomes chronic when it lasts 12 weeks or longer without relief. That’s where we come in. During your appointment with us, our team will review your medical history, listen to your symptoms and help identify the root cause of your discomfort so we can develop a customized treatment plan.
